Baum, the renowned Bucks County, Pennsylvania landscapist. In addition to the nude male figure inspired by Baum, this 1946-vintage, lyrical piece features two female nudes -- one modeled after a professional model -- and one seated nude boy, seen in profile. Conner studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, and won a medal for his work exhibited at the Sesquicentennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1926.
