For the 70th issue of the Society of Medalists in 1964, Frank Eliscu sculpted a mesmerizing image of a nude diver twisting deep underwater among corals and seaweeds, all under a pale green tranluscent vail suggested by a thin verdigris finish. The reverse side shows fish and additional sealife. Eliscu's work was collected by Brookgreen Gardens, and he served as director of the sculpture deparment of the Master Institute of United Arts in New York.
