In 1925 -- only a year before he opened an industrial design studio that would soon become famous for product designs commissioned by Kodak, Texaco and Steinway among many other industrial companies -- Teague drew this evocative image of a French cavalier on horseback for his personal Christmas card. Although Teague is best known today for the Brownie camera and Texaco gas stations, he began his career as a graphic designer, which this piece clearly illustrates.
