Bookends with Pan and Flute A remarkable bit of inspired juvenalia, this pair of heavy ceramic bookends created by a female student at Middle Technical High School in Denver, one of the nation's leading technical high schools, depicts a nude Pan figure playing the pipes in a a highly stylized Art Deco design. Dorothy F's luscious milky glaze may show the influence of a Denver pottery known for this technique and whose artists may have served as teachers or advisors to the school. This pair is signed and dated "1934." To Order: Click on the "Add to Cart" button above. You will be redirected to use PayPal payment solutions.
